Prerequisites:

• Proficient use of keyboard and mouse.
• Experience with word processing in Windows or macOS Mojave.
• Started or written and stored in a PC or Mac Format your novel, memoirs, autobiography or scrapbook.

Objectives:

1. Preparation of Manuscript:
2. Choose different fonts and font sizes.
3. Select page size and adjust margins.
4. Create a Contents page.
5. Adjust line space for headings and body.
6. Add footer and headers.
7. Add Number pages.
8. Design a front and back cover.
9. Protect with a secure back-up.
10. Using Kindle Direct Publishing (Previously Amazon’s Create-a-Space).
11. Access Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).
12. Provide relevant publishing information.
13. Upload Manuscript to Kindle Direct Publishing.

Description:

Kindle Direct Publishing: This two-session class will leave participants able to prepare their novel, memoirs, autobiography or scrapbook manuscripts and upload them on KDP. Once uploaded, they can print and sell their books. Other authors using local printing services may benefit from this class.
